CHAPTER 3 — DOUBT

The failure didn’t just stay in the past…

it followed him.

In his thoughts.
In his silence.
In every step he tried to take again.

He couldn’t forget it.

No matter how hard he tried…

it kept coming back.

“What if I’m not good enough?”

That question slowly became a belief.

A quiet voice in his mind…

repeating again and again.

He started noticing others more.

People who looked confident.

People who seemed to know exactly what they were doing.

People who were moving ahead.

And then there was him…

standing in the same place.

The comparison hurt.

Not because others were better…

but because he felt stuck.

The more he thought about it…

the more confused he became.

Even small decisions felt heavy.

Even simple steps felt uncertain.

He wanted to try again…

but fear held him back.

The fear of failing again.

The fear of feeling the same pain.

And slowly…

he started stepping back instead of forward.

Days passed.

Nothing changed.

No action.

No progress.

Just thoughts…

and more thoughts.

Until one day…

he looked at himself and realized—

he wasn’t moving anymore.

He was just thinking.

And that thought hit harder than failure itself.

Because staying stuck…

was becoming his new reality.

For the first time…

he came very close to giving up.

To be continued…
